Founder and CEO Peggy Pacella is a skilled technology expert with a wealth of experience in the corporate world who, like many business owners, wanted to strike out on her own because she knew there was a better way.
Peggy established M.A.P. Consulting in 1997 after working for several firms in the Philadelphia area, including Rosenbluth International (Applications Programming Manager); Agusta Aerospace (Information Technology Manager); and Philadelphia Telco Credit Union (Information Technology Manager). While close to 25 years experience gave her the technical tools she needed to be successful, she realized there was something missing—a focus on the individual.
That is why, when she opened M.A.P. Consulting, the emphasis was not only on providing top-notch Information Technology skills but also on working with the client and establishing close professional relationships that she describes as "partnerships." This philosophy has been at the core of the business and is the reason for her success today.
Education—Peggy, a Philadelphia native who graduated from John W. Hallahan High School in the city, also graduated from Peirce College, Philadelphia, with an A.S. degree in Computer Science and Thomas Edison State College, Trenton, N.J., with a B.S. degree in Business Management. She also earned a Certificate in Project Management from Villanova University in Villanova, PA.
Outside Interests—While her workday world is filled with technical matters, her personal interests reflect a different persona. Her love for music and the arts often finds her at cultural events in Philadelphia and New York, attending Broadway shows and jazz or classical concerts.
Her outside interests also include several professional organizations: the Delaware Valley Computer Users Group, of which she is President; the Network of Women in Computer Technology; the Mid-Atlantic Electronic Commerce Users Group, and the Women's Business Development Center.
